How about Gaoshi North in Qianjiang?
Let's start with its current name, gaoshibei. In the eighth year of Qing Daoguang (1828), the Hanjiang levee in Changnao Town burst. After the water receded, the mouth was blocked and the embankment was rebuilt. It took nine years to stop and go, but finally it won the battle with nature. A large monument 3 feet high stands at the entrance of the dam, which is named after the high stone back. Nowadays, some people know that this monument is buried deep somewhere on the Lotus Moon Dike.
Changnao Town was renamed Changyi Hospital, which is a record of blood and fire. In the early summer of the third year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (1853), the Taiping Army led by Hong Xiuquan launched a great war here with the Qing soldiers and the local brave Xiang Yong. Last year1February, the Taiping Army captured Wuchang, and then occupied Qianjiang on the second day of April this year. Then, at the beginning of April, Banghu Lake was attacked from the west by land and water, and Yong Yong Tuan Yong, headed by Dong Xiguo, caught fire. Dong Xiguo is from Changnao Town. He was ordered by Luo Raodian, a Yunnan-Guizhou army stationed in Xiangyang, to recruit rich children at the fifteenth corner of Changleng Town, and combined with the rural courage of "Da Tuan Liu", he played a role in suppressing the peasant army and charging in depth. After the fighting started, the battlefield expanded along the Han River to Fiona Fang's Duobao Bay, Lijiazhou, Jiejiabu and Ganhe for dozens of miles. With the participation and support of local farmers, the insurgents fought flexibly, making Dong Xiguo impossible to prevent. Finally, the insurgents led him to the decisive battle in Yu He. After more than 20 days of stalemate between the two sides, Dong Xiguo's Sixth Regiment of Xiang Yong was finally wiped out in a day of "high tide". In all, more than 3,700 people died in Xiang Yongyong's regiment. Such a big battle is rare in the history of Qianjiang. Changnao town was burned down in the war, and then moved to a new city, renamed Changnaoyuan after taking advantage of Hanshui potential. In the eighth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1580), Baihe Temple was submerged in water.
