Feng Shui in Song Ling and Liuling
The mausoleum covers an area of 2.24 square kilometers, with Qinglong Mountain in the east, Wei Zi in the south, Wuhu Ridge in the west and Wuming Mountain in the north. It has formed a geomantic landscape of Zuoqinglong, Youbaihu, Qiansuzhaku and Houxuanwu, which looks like four directions and guards the imperial tomb in front of us. Meanwhile, the terrain is slightly lower in the southeast and higher in the northwest. The clean stream originates from Renlongshan Mountain in the southeast and winds westward along the imperial tomb. The whole mausoleum area is picturesque scenery. This unique cemetery site selection method in Southern Song Dynasty is the inheritance and development of China's ancient geomantic theory.
