Self-driving tour guide to Huizhou Xunliao Bay and Shanwei Red Bay
Huizhou Xunliao Bay and Shanwei Red Bay are rare places in Guangdong that can be used for vacation and travel. The beautiful scenery of these two places is naturally exciting, and the food here is also a highlight, making your life more enjoyable. Cozy and sour, let me share with you the self-driving tour guide to Xunliao Bay in Huizhou and Red Bay in Shanwei.
After consulting a travel agency, short-term travel within Guangdong Province is nothing more than Yangjiang Zhapo, Shenzhen and Huizhou.
After two days of traveling by bus, we always felt a little cramped and unsatisfied, so we decided to rent a car and travel by car. A group of four people set off towards the seaside. Preparation for departure
Since we were leaving on Saturday, we were worried about traffic jams, so we set off from home on time at seven o'clock. Except for the novice driver who was not familiar with the road and missed the entrance to the expressway, which delayed him for about ten minutes, everything else went smoothly.
The weather was fine, the journey was smooth, and I was in a good mood. It was particularly fun to watch the clouds on the highway.
After about 3.5 hours’ drive, we set off from Qingyuan and arrived in Huizhou. Passing the Huizhou Bridge, the blue and vast sea was so beautiful that it made our blood boil.
The city view on the seaside is pretty good
On the way to the Xunliao Bay Scenic Area, we contacted the B&B. After deciding where to stay, we drove directly there without taking any unnecessary detours.
At about eleven o'clock, we checked in smoothly. Since it was a Saturday, accommodation was a bit expensive.
Hotel rooms generally cost more than 600, and rooms in the thousands are common. Since we were traveling on a budget, we stayed in a B&B that cost RMB 250 each, which was spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. Homemade seafood
After settling in, we immediately searched the meat and vegetable market on Baidu Map and prepared for a seafood feast.
News reports often see tourist attractions robbing tourists. This time I went to Huizhou and I saw it with my own eyes. As soon as I walked into the seafood market, the seafood sellers came over, hugging each other and talking about each other as brothers. It turned out that these were all people who cheated customers and made a one-time deal.
The price of mantis shrimp is 10 yuan per pound. When I heard it, I thought it was unreasonable. So my dad made it clear that if I wanted something that was adequate, how much would be the cheapest? Answer: 30 yuan.
Final deal. I saw the seller taking the seafood to the scale inside to weigh it and calculate the money.
Look at the customers who pay 10 yuan per pound. They use the scale placed in front of the stall. According to the price, the steelyard can weigh 3 taels to 1 catty. Then look at the sellers, all of whom are tall and muscular, and some even have tattoos. If tourists say they want to buy, weigh in, and then want to go back on their word, they will probably be in for an unpleasant experience.
According to market conditions, seafood processing fees are calculated on a per catty basis. The ginger and scallion oil method is 15 yuan per catty, and the boiled method is 10 yuan per catty. For a table of seafood, the processing fee still costs hundreds of dollars.
And there may be some shortcomings in the processing process. Last time I went to Zhuhai, I encountered processed flower crabs. I gave 9 crabs to the store and only 7 were served on the plate. Two of them were dead crabs, and I couldn't explain them clearly, so I had to admit that I was unlucky.
Once you enter the store for processing, you will naturally incur tea fees and meal expenses. After one meal, four people will definitely not be able to leave the store if they don't cost four or five hundred.
Fortunately, my father had the foresight to propose taking the induction cooker to the beach for a trip. So we bought snails, mantis shrimps, baby squid, flower crabs, and vegetables at reasonable prices at the seafood market, which cost about 180 yuan.
Then go back to the B&B and boil it on the induction cooker. While eating, I sighed at my shrewdness. The key was to avoid being passive and being manipulated by others, which made me feel very satisfied.
Look at this table of home-cooked dishes, it’s really appetizing. Take a walk on the beach
After a comfortable lunch break, we played around with the air conditioner for a while in the B&B. At five o'clock in the afternoon, the sun was no longer so fierce, and we started to set off to the beach.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beach of Xunliao Bay.
The seaside environment is not very good. It is bustling with tourists, the quality of tourists is not high, and there is a lot of garbage on the beach. The places where you can change clothes and use the restroom to shower are all privately run and simple, but the fees are high, which makes you feel uncomfortable.
However, the seaside has the magic of the seaside, which allows me not to care too much, just soak in the water and enjoy the ocean time, and not worry too much about other things.
If you choose the right angle, Xunliao Bay is still very beautiful. Especially at sunset, the few small fishing boats are quite artistic. The second day of the trip
Early the next morning, we set off at six o'clock and went to the beach to play in the water before the sun was too anxious. There were fewer people in the morning and I felt more comfortable than the day before.
At the beach, we saw many tents. It can be seen that there are still many tourists setting up tents to spend the night on the beach.
There were a little less people in the morning, and we took a lot of beautiful photos, especially my girl, who is super beautiful and cute.
Back at the B&B intersection, I bought some local specialty snacks such as shredded squid, small yellow croaker, and seaweed. Very good deal. After returning home, colleagues and friends continued to comment and lamented that I didn’t buy enough. Shanwei Red Bay
After checking out, we drove to Shanwei and headed towards Shanwei Red Bay.
Departure at 10:30 and arrive at Shanwei Red Bay Scenic Area at about 12:00. I chose a nearby hotel to check in. Since it was a Sunday, the price was super economical, 180 per room. The boss said it would be more than 500 on Friday and Saturday.
I lament again that if time permits, I really don’t want to travel on weekends.
At noon we had local specialties. People here are really good at eating. The noodles are usually served with Shantou beef balls, local fresh shrimps, etc., which are quite tempting.
After taking a nap and resting for a while, we set out to the beach at about 4:30.
Because the Red Bay Scenic Area stipulates that entering the water is not allowed after 6:30 in the evening, so you must seize the time to play in the water.
The 16 yuan ticket is definitely worth the money, and the scenic spot management is much better than Xunliao Bay.
The water is clear, the sand is fine, and there is almost no garbage. Moreover, there are separate areas for entering the water, and no entry into the water is allowed in a large area, so it seemed comfortable and I was immediately surprised.
Although the swimming area is also crowded with people like boiled dumplings, the water in Red Bay is much cooler than Xunliao Bay. Just soaking in the water and enjoying being beaten by the waves feels quite satisfying and comfortable.
I asked the hotel owner when to watch the sunrise and he said it was 5:45 in the morning.
The next morning, we arrived at the Red Bay beach at 5:30. Since tickets were not charged before six o'clock, we saved 16 yuan for four.
Here, I saw the sunrise for the first time. From the colorful clouds to the salted duck eggs, it slowly rises for more than ten minutes, which is quite shocking.
It made up for the regret of missing the sunrise at Qinghai Lake last year due to bad weather.
Watching the sun rise from the sea level, I was deeply shocked. I deeply feel the magnificence of nature and feel awe in my heart.
After returning to the hotel for a short rest, we went straight to the market to buy dry goods. I checked prices at specialty shops along the way, and finally found that the market was really much cheaper and more affordable. For dry goods of the same quality, you can save about 30% if you buy them in the market.
Finally we bought dried scallops, dried shrimps, salted fish, dried meat, mussels, and dried abalone. Returned with a full load. After returning home, I still felt that I had bought less.
In my father’s words, after you finish eating, go back several times and buy again.
A three-day beach trip for four people. The itinerary is slow and stops, and you bring your own tableware. It is economical and affordable.
Excluding specialty products and dried seafood, the cost per capita is about 700. Although it is more expensive than booking a group with a travel agency, the experience is definitely much better than booking a group. I am confident about this.
