How is a typhoon named?
The name of typhoon comes from the nomenclature of tropical cyclones (typhoons) in the northwest Pacific Ocean and the South China Sea adopted by the Typhoon Committee at the 3 1 meeting. There are 14 names in the nomenclature, which come from Cambodia, China, North Korea, China, China, Macau, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Micronesia (Federated States of), the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific region.
The 14 names are divided into 1 groups, and the 14 names in each group (each member provides 1 name) are arranged alphabetically by each member. Named tables are recycled in order.
