Xiantai Mountain in the Taihang Grand Canyon in Linzhou is a small but exquisite scenic spot, so don't miss it when you pass by.
In the Taihang Grand Canyon in Linzhou, there is a relatively small tourist attraction named Xiantai Mountain. Visitors who have been to the Taihang Grand Canyon are generally familiar with Xiantai Mountain, because Xiantai Mountain is on the way to the Grand Canyon Scenic Area, which can be said to be the only way. But when it comes to those who have actually boarded the Xiantai Mountain, although it can't be said that there are very few, I'm afraid there will be at least quite a few people!
Take Linshi Highway, the most beautiful rural highway in China, cross the Taihang Tunnel, enter Shibanyan Town, a famous tourist town in China, and you will arrive at the Taihang Grand Canyon. Down the highway, turn a 18-degree sharp bend, and the entrance to Xiantai Mountain Scenic Area is directly in front of the ravine.
I don't know how many times I've come and gone from the gate of Xiantai Mountain, but I've never been there because I have to hurry and other reasons. My heart is always chanting that one day I must board this fairy mountain. On the way back from slate this morning, I finally got this wish.
Tickets for Xiantai Mountain Scenic Spot in 3 yuan. Pay attention to WeChat official account, Anyang Information Network, and you can get a White Whale Tourism Year Card for free. Through this tourist card, you can visit many tourist attractions in Henan, Hebei and Shanxi for free for unlimited times in one year.
Xiantai Mountain Scenic Area is small in scope, which can be said to be a small and beautiful exquisite scenic area. Being in the hinterland of Taihang Grand Canyon, although there is a lack of water in the scenic spot, it can give people a beautiful feeling like a garden in the south of the Yangtze River.
According to the guide map of Xiantai Mountain, the scenic spot mainly includes: Xiantai Mountain Archway, Tongtian Gorge, Dengtian Gorge, Quepeck Rock, General Pavilion, Mushroom Peak, Tengyuntai, Xiantao Peak, Oracle Bone Inscriptions Baijia Family Name, Pearl Waterfall, Qingliang Palace, Shiling Cave, Lying Eagle Rock, Forsythia Slope, Zodiac, Fairy Mirror and Lover Stone.
Go through the stone archway at the ticket gate of Xiantai Mountain, climb the stairs, turn right in the direction indicated by the road sign, and then enter the hiking trail. The artificially paved red granite flagstone road is hidden in the dense trees, and the blazing sunshine passes through the layers of leaves and falls on the earth, forming spots of light and shadow, losing its due burning. People will naturally feel happy when they walk through such a mountain path.
Not far along the mountain road, at the end of the steep mountain road steps, a stone gate stands impressively, guarding the main road into the mountain like a city gate. The three stone characters "Tongtianmen" on the door are not very eye-catching, but they can also be seen clearly. I don't know who wrote this couplet, "I might as well climb Mount Xiantai and look for a guest in the cloud far away", which also shows the feelings that Mount Xiantai hopes to welcome mountaineering tourists.
Through the Tongtian Gate, there is a small viewing and rest platform. After the platform, follow the red stone steps built on the rock of Hehongshan and go up the valley.
The four red block letters "Asking about the Ancient Stone" on the entrance rock are quite regular, and the engravers are all very skilled! Although I don't know the first traditional Chinese character, I intuitively think it should be a word "by". When I came back, I found it.
"asking the ancient by the stone" is so artistic!
Climb the Tiantianxia along the narrow and steep steps, and go up to the second floor to make a road, and the mountain road becomes smooth. The cliff on the left is the "bird pecking cliff". I think it's the shape of the cliff, as if it had been pecked by birds! It does look different.
Go along the road, and at the end of the ridge, there is a hexagonal pavilion that says "General Pavilion". It turns out that the name of the village at the foot of the mountain is "General's Back", but I don't know which general it refers to here. This "General Pavilion" should have something to do with the generals in the village at the foot of the mountain.
standing at the general pavilion, you can have a panoramic view of the grand canyon at the foot of the mountain. Today happens to be a clear sky in Wan Li, with an excellent view. I can only see the distant mountains near the water and full of green. What a beautiful picture! It's really natural!
Going up along the steps built from the ridge, there is a rock on the side of the buckle in front, which comes out in layers and looks towards the direction of the Grand Canyon. It's really like a "turtle exploring the sea".
nature is really amazing! Right in the middle of the ridge, a big mountain rock stands tall and hangs out of thin air. This is the famous "Mushroom Peak" in Xiantai Mountain.
Go through the iron plank road under Mushroom Peak, get off the plank road, and then get on the plank road. In front of it is the "Tengyun Platform". Originally on the top of the mountain ridge, there is a stone platform, layered and flaky, like a pile, standing on the summit, which is spectacular!
Get off the Tengyuntai, step over a small stone bridge, and go on. There is a crossroads, which is marked as the forsythia slope. To the left, it says "The biggest Guanyin in northern Henan and going down the mountain". There is a road to the right, but there is no sign.
we followed the direction of the downhill road, turned left and went all the way down the mountain. Near the end, there was a pool under a waterfall. There was a huge stone standing by the pool, and Shi Shui set each other off. The words "Fairy Mirror" were written on it. Unfortunately, the handwriting was really not beautiful enough. Perhaps because of this, the handwriting was very small and it was written on a corner.
It took us only an hour from the beginning of the mountain to the exit of the scenic spot. After coming out, we looked at the guide map at the door and found that we had only walked about half the journey. It's a pity that I didn't go to Xiantao Peak, but it's all right. I'll leave my thoughts for next time.
It's quite easy to stroll around Xiantao Peak. Although it is elevated, the elevation is not high, and it is basically not tiring to climb it. Friends who have never been to Xiantai Mountain, don't miss it when you pass by!
Xiantai Mountain, I will go again next time!
