How can a thief not enter the house? What's the trick?
2. Barrels and sewer pipes are one of the ways for mice to enter the bedroom. The floor is not high, and the sewer pipe is old, which will become a dirty nest for mice. Rats are natural swimming animals. They can enter the room directly through sewers, usually at night.
3. When installing the air conditioner, a pipe hole is usually punched in the outer wall. This hole is not closed all the year round, so that rats can take advantage of it. Therefore, after installing the pipeline, the hole must be sealed with cement or mastic, not with soft newspaper.
Ways to prevent rats from entering the house:
1, close the door.
Closing the door can prevent rats from entering. Rats are most active at night, so it's best not to leave the door open all night. If you like to open the door in summer and let the breeze blow into the house, install a screen door to prevent rats from entering.
2. Close the window.
Rats are good at crawling and can enter the house through the window without any difficulty, especially the second floor window. Please be sure to close the window or install the screen window. The screen window is easy to be damaged after a period of use, and the rusty holes or cracks on the screen window can let mice get in. If some windows don't close tightly, or there is a gap between the window and the window frame, steel wool or steel mesh can be used to block the gap.
Check the bottom of the house.
Walk around the house and check whether there are cracks or holes in the wall that can let rats in. Any hole larger than 6.4 mm is blocked. It is best to use strong repair materials, such as metal foil, steel mesh or concrete mortar.
Check the wall that separates the garage from the rest of the house. Because the garage door is more difficult to seal than other smaller doors, sometimes mice will enter the house through it and then try to get into the main house.
4. Block cable outlets, drains, vents and chimneys.
If the cable exit is large enough, mice can pass through, and they can easily enter the house along the cable. You can also enter the house through the manhole of water pipes and drains, or jump into ventilation holes and chimneys. Plug stainless steel wool into the small holes around water pipes and cables, and then plug the small holes with caulking material.
Steel wool forms a rough and friction barrier, which can prevent rats from entering, and can be easily cut into pieces with scissors and placed in a smaller place. Install gauze to prevent rats from entering water pipes, ventilation holes and chimneys.
