Before starting, the self-inspection instrument panel does not display the engine fault light. What happened?

1. Abnormal lubricating oil consumption. After a certain mileage, the dashboard quickly shows that the amount of lubricating oil is insufficient. There are usually three reasons: 1. There may be a problem with the seal of the engine piston, which leads to the excessive clearance between the piston and the cylinder wall and the engine burning. 2. There may be serious wear of engine parts, resulting in excessive clearance between parts and different lubricating oil consumption. 3. The lubricating oil used is not up to standard, resulting in abnormal oil consumption. First, check the oil quality and fuel consumption. After the oil quality problem is eliminated, check the parts one by one. It may be that the parts are badly worn, the clearance between parts is too large or the oil pressure is too high, which leads to the oil escaping into the combustion chamber. The main reason of oil leakage is that the gasket is hard and aging, and the valve is stuck.

Second, the engine overheating fault is prone to the phenomenon that the coolant temperature is too high. Once the cooling temperature exceeds the normal value, the engine cannot dissipate heat normally, which will lead to overheating of the engine and affect the normal operation of the engine. The main reasons for the abnormal operation of the cooling system are thermostat failure, radiator failure, fan failure, water tank blockage and so on. The dashboard of the car suggests that when the coolant temperature is abnormal, stop to check whether the coolant leaks. It should be noted that you can't stop immediately when it is hot, and you can't add coolant immediately. Don't operate until the engine temperature is normal. If there is a large amount of coolant, troubleshoot the engine thermostat and fan cooling.

Third, the smell of the engine compartment is affected by the high temperature of the engine, and the surrounding wires are easy to burn or coke, giving off a pungent smell. It is also possible that a large amount of grease is applied in the maintenance process, and the odor generated will come out with the increase of engine temperature. If you find the car has a pungent smell or burnt smell during driving, you should stop immediately and check whether there are any signs of softening or burning around the engine. Burned or short-circuited lines should be repaired in time to avoid greater safety accidents. If the odor still exists after the circuit fault is eliminated, consider whether the engine oil or foreign matter attached to the engine surface volatilizes or burns when heated.

Fourth, the exhaust color of the exhaust gas is abnormal. After normal combustion, the color of exhaust gas should be colorless. If the engine fails, the color of exhaust gas will change.
